Justine is a family therapist, behaviour therapist, social worker and counsellor. Justine provides therapy for parents, families, teens and young people; specialising in neuro-diversity; autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, pathological demand avoidance & anxiety.
In family therapy Justine works alongside families from a strengths-based perspective, exploring dynamics, communication and language. In parenting sessions, discoveries are made around new ways of the family functioning as a team. Identifying strategies and interventions for managing behaviours, preventing problems and prompting positive behaviours.
Justine holds a Master of Clinical Family Therapy, a Master of Social Work and a Master of Education in Applied Behaviour Analysis. She specialises in reducing barriers to support living authentically as an autistic person in a neuro-typical world.

Justine uses principles of Functional & Structural Family Therapy, Multi-systemic Family Therapy & Satir work. Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), & Dialect Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Justine also uses principles of positive education, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness.
Justine is new to Hobart and brings 20 years’ experience working with families, teens and young people. Originally from Sydney Justine has worked and designed wellbeing programs in schools & communities. Community development has been a strong interest for Justine – she has worked in Bangladesh, Vietnam and The United States – working with families, designing community programs and group work.
Justine sees clients and families privately and those with NDIS plans. She offers appointments face to face and over telehealth. She also offers within the home, school or community and wilderness settings. Justine is a PEER’S provider and also runs social groups for autistic young people, teens and parents – these groups are fun, dynamic and informative.
