Coronavirus (COVID-19) Support

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the best way to slow the spreading of the coronavirus and to keep each other safe is through practising good hygiene and sensible precautions. Hobart Counselling Centre provides a spacious counselling space that enables clients and their therapist to adhere to the recommended guidelines of social distancing. Face masks are required to be worn at the centre. Hobart Counselling Centre also provides Telehealth Counselling as options for clients who prefer not to come into the centre.

If you have any of the following symptoms please stay home and get tested.

  • fever (or signs of fever, including chills or night sweats)
  • runny nose
  • cough
  • sore/itchy throat
  • shortness of breath
  • loss of taste or smell

If you have returned from any of the at-risk countries listed on this Health Department page in the past fortnight or had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, please don’t come into the centre (even if you don’t have symptoms). Find out more about COVID-19 from the Health Direct website.

Here’s how to self-quarantine. Maintain consistent day/night routines, stay active, eat healthily, work/learn from home when possible, and connect online or by telephone with those you love.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 you can call the Australian Coronavirus COVID-19 Triage Hotline 1800 020 080

Depending on your circumstances, you will be advised to attend a public hospital respiratory clinic, a primary care respiratory clinic, to self-isolate at home, to seek a medical practitioner telehealth consultation or to take no further action.
